Resin floor is very durable and strong. It can be installed in the house, schools, bars, public buildings, showrooms, and industrial plants. The design is very unique and the installation cost is very affordable. Once it is installed, the floor can resist any damage. This way, the owner can be calm in doing any activities. But of course, no matter how good the material of the floor, it is still need to be well maintained. Cleaning the floor is a must. There are several ways to maintain resin flooring.

Daily Cleaning

The basic way to clean the floor is by sweeping it regularly. This is done to clean any dusts. Any waste that is easy to be swept can be clean by sweeping too. Sweep the floor with regular broom. Make sure that the floor is clean from any dust or waste. Another thing that should be done is mopping the resin flooring. This is important to remove smaller particle and keep the floor shining. It is better to use neutral detergent. Follow the mopping instruction that printed on the detergent’s pack. Don’t use too much detergent as it isn’t good for the floor itself. Once in a while, there will be spillage on the floor. Some of it is quite difficult to be cleaned. Spillage of dairy products, for example, can leave stains on the resin flooring. Thus, it should be cleaned as soon as possible. Mop and detergent can be helpful in cleaning dairy products. If the floor gets grease on it, it has to be cleaned with Tri-Sodium Phosphate. If there is any chemical spill, the owner has to be hurry to rinse it. This way, the chemical won’t dry and leave stain on the floor.

Re-Polishing

After years of usage, resin flooring will get old too. Its shine won’t be as bright as the first time it is installed. This way, the owner has to re-polish or refinish the floor. It is actually a common thing to do. The house owner need to contact professional that provides the service in this field. They will polish the floor with some waxes to make it shine again. The house owner can do an alternative to re-polishing: refinishing. In this method, the floor is cleaned from any stains and then sanded to clean the shine. After that, the professional will apply the new re-glazing substance.
